Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

I am waiting for a check to come so I can go pay my lawyer everything I owe him so this can be DONE. I seriously cannot take him anymore-the verbal abuse, the suicide threats, all of it. It is too much.

Yep, time to get that chapter over with. You don't need that crap.

And having a crappy ex-husband always gives you a benchmark with whom to compare future suitors.

It is BEYOND time for this to be over. I am so done with this situation.

Good for you. He's not your problem, he's HIS problem.

Well, I have to go judge a talent show at school. I am going to do my best Paula Abdul imitation- drunk and sloppy.

Have fun with that Paula, let us know how it goes. Make sure you say some completely non-sensical things about whoever you are judging so it is authentic "Paula-ness".

Deb~So sorry I missed you! Just as I thought, I ended up working late. I was thinking about you gals and you all look terrific, thanks for posting the picture.

I missed having the opportunity to meet you, too!

Hey Munchkin, sorry to hear about the fence, I just can't believe how far they are willing to take this over four inches! Sooo weird!

Life and Dee~I finally got the book. I am thinking of starting after my 5k. The book is a real kick in the a**, like a wake up call. Wouldn't it be awesome to have him as your personal trainer? I would love that!

So these are the gowns I found-the black one is the consignment shop one, and I will be taking the ugly rhinestone brooch off. I think once the brooch is off it will be simple and elegant.

The grey one is the bargain one from Sears. I think the top is kind of wierd. I don't know.

Opinions please!

My vote is definitely the black one!

Well, after sleeping in way late this morning, I drank my meals today (protein shake, Water, juice) as I wasn't sure about having my first fill.

Just finished dinner: 2 pieces of spinach ravioli with tblsp of basil sauce: it was too much! So i guess I am restricted!!! Now if I could only get myself to move:w00t:

ok< I was banded today and all went well. Dr. K and all of his staff were very professional and attended to my every need.

I was in some pain when I woke up, probably a 6 but they give you something stronger than morphine so it kicked it as soon as they gave it to me. I have been using the pain medicine every 4 hours so that I can get up and walk around.

I did use the suppository and I highly recommend it because I don't have much gas although I took a GasX strip when I got back to the hotel just in c ase.

Dr. K wants you to use an ice pack and not a heating pad so I though I would mention it. Also, the incentive spirometer is a little harder to do than you would think but not unbearable.

I definitely haven't been very hungry and when I take the hydrocodone it knocks me out so I"m getting quite a lot of sleep.< /p>

Not one bit of nausea so far...so all is well.

I will post more later.

So my Dr charged me for another fill. I am pissed about it... but what can I do. When he pulled out my saline I had only 4cc's. ONE CC LESS than I went in with last week. Grrr. No wonder I had no restriction. I think he took out more than he realized after the overfill???

So now I am a "smidge under" 7CC's... which was the amount that I couldn't swallow Water last week. *sigh* I HATE this guessing game with fills.

It took me over an hour to drink a Vivanno from Starbucks. I definitely have restriction. A small bit of gurgling with liquids, but at least they are going down. I guess time will tell. I am freaked about trying to eat anything! Definitely going to take it slow.

On a side note, I have upped my personal trainer sessions to twice a week. I am not going to participate in the BFL challenge. I am having a hard enough time right now sticking to my PT goals, and figuring out my fill level.

Sorry again for the drive-by. I cannot keep up if I am not here everyday.

It's ok if you do drivebys dorky one, we just want to hear from you and know you are still around because we miss you when we don't hear from you!

I am totally feeling your pain about the fill situation because as I have already told you, this is pretty much how it goes with my fill doctor. It is very frustrating sometimes.

Are those Vivannos from Starbucks good? I have been wanting to try one but I was curious how many carbs are in them. I keep forgetting to look on their website to see. Someone said they taste kind of chalky.

Yay!! So glad you are doing well. I've been thinking about you two all day. I wonder how Colleen is doing? :) Isn't it a relief to have it over with? What time did you get to go home? I have my pre-op tomorrow and can't wait until Monday.

I'm so glad you posted or is this Steve? It was so much fun getting to meet some of you fellow bandsters. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling. Here's to a speedy recovery...

Munch,

I know I"m in the minority here, but I love the gray one. I can tell it would really show off your shape. Go for it!

Adork, good to hear from you. That is weird about the fill levels.

I am feeling fat fat fat. Went to a charity event tonight, did not like how I looked in my dress, but really didn't have time after work to fuss around with trying on other stuff. This one fit, but I just felt lumpy in it. And of course the issue yet again that I did not have a date for this event. Sorry, just feeling whiney and sorry for myself. I am frustrated with this bandster hell thing, have no restriction, hungry as per usual, and eating the wrong things. I want a fill, and i want a ticker that moves in the right direction already!!!! (my 1st fill is next week)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
