Recommended Posts

I work from 4:30am and go to sleep at around 11pm I'm up for quite a bit. What healthy meals/snack can you guys suggest? What are your meals consisting of?

right now I do greek yogurt in the morning, Protein Shake as a snack, I usually do a left over from the night prior usually chicken or fish and a veggie of some sort, then make a new similar dish for dinner. I also thought about picking up a decent Protein Bar for when I'm on the go, but not quite there yet.

I'm 4 weeks out so I cook every day mostly egg and cheese, chicken make Protein Shakes and crystal lite and Water. Today I made taco bowls for the family but for me I use the Ramekin bowl and had refried Beans

Small bite ground beef not much shredded cheese and a little cottage cheese. I can only eat a good 5 bites. This is an early dinner.< /p>

Since surgery day I have lost 53 pounds... hit 51 pound loss at my 2 month mark. I do really make sure I watch my macros every day and make sure to get well over 100g of Protein and 120oz of Water. I drink around 64oz of water just during my workout. I have been lifting weights 6 days a week and cardio 7 days a week since I was 3 weeks out. I have been in a stall the last week though  It will be my 3rd stall in just under 10 weeks. I do eat close to 50g of carbs a day, sometimes more, but make sure the bulk of those carbs are eaten during my post workout meal.

Ok sorry I should have explained. I am 10 weeks out 53lbs lost as of Monday and I'm on a 600-700 calorie diet. I don't eat beef or pork and I eat just 2 ounces of food around meal time. I am having a hard time with Protein and I've tried Protein Bars but I can't finish them. I need serious help this whole eating situation really depresses me.. Any suggestions??

OK, Protein Bars keep. It would easily take me two hours to finish one. Also, Turkey Jerky from Trader Joes was awesome. Great Protein and wonderful flavor. Something with texture to "chew" on, too. Squeezy yogurts, too, work great. Do you have access to a microwave? I made different Soups and froze them in jam jars. Pulled them out on my way to work. Put your yogurt in there, too and you're all set.

I usually have a 30g Protein Shake in the morning before work, then around 10am greek yogurt (with fruit) I'm not a fan of plain yogurt. For lunch about 1 1/2 oz of chicken/fish with a veggie (broccoli, broccoli rabe, string beans) or turkey breast and cheese rolled up together. I have another Protein shake around 2-3pm.

For dinner I have chicken/broiled fish/shrimp and a green veggie. I limit my carb intake to under 50 grams per day.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
