Ladies! Did your cycle change?

Recommended Posts

I have the mirena since last year, and I hadn't been getting periods for several months. I was sleeved on a Monday and that Saturday my cycle started and lasted for over 2 weeks. Then it stopped for like 2 days and when I went to get my annual done it started back up. I pretty much wear liners or ultra thin pads everyday

I'm 42 and am so done with these darn periods! I'm thinking about having an ablasion since I"m at my "out of pocket" max for the year with the sleeve anyway. My sister had an ablasion last year because of heavy periods, and hasn't had a period since.

I had mine the week before my surgery which was on 2/19 and I just got it yesterday. I pretty much skipped March. So yeah it was super late.

Changed for the worst... Longer and very painful. I am hoping it's the hormones bring released by weight loss as well as hormones from aunt flow and it will setyle down eventually. That is the hope anyway :-)

This might be tmi ..I was sleeved 2/28 and my first period was light. I started 2nd yesterday and seemed fine until hour ago...soaked 3 pairs of pj 's with overnight pads. I have passed about 10 golf ball size clots ..it is awful...the bathroom seriously looked like a murder screen. No cramping..no chance of pregnancy....my only other thought is I had cyst on ovary and had follow Monday and now have 2 more. Two now have solid masses so seeing specialist Wed. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. My man is freaking out that I am losing too much blood lol..men!..any thoughts?

I'm normally 28 days just started my first post-op at 40 days. Hopefully this is just a reaction to the surgery and I go back to normal v after this.

Have an IUD and haven't had a period in 2yrs..then after the sleeve they have returned. Went to the gyno..and she believes its just all the changes going on in my body. Had an ultrasound just to see if the IUD was still in place..its all good

I hope your ok. You need to get that checked out. I don't think you should be soaking through so many pads in a short period of time. Be careful about so much blood loss I think that can contribute to low Iron levels.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
