It gets easier after a few days. You will start to feel indifferent about food.

I agree tonight my family eating food didn't bother me...

I was put on the liquid diet on 03/11/13 and I can offically say the first week was horrible. I have my pre-op appointment on 03 April with the doctor to find out when my surgery is. I wasn't losing the weight I should have been losing so they put me on the liquids. It has been pretty rough, weekends are horrible, but during work I am ok. You can do it I promise! I just keep thinking what I will look like after the surgery!! Good luck!

LOL! Well ot doesn't help that my 16 year old was cooking potstickers all afternoon then leaving them out cuz she was full! Also looks like a weather system moved in which may be responsible for my headache. I woke up with it. So there are other things going on. :-)

My mom was 300lbs and 5 feet tall when she had her surgery. A vertical banded gastroplast1y in 1986. It was super risky. She got down to 130 or so, and over time her weight crept back to 190, but that's where she's stayed for years she's done great. Good motivation.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
