Walking is best. I still have an occasional gas hit but nothing significant. I hope you start feeling better!

Only when I try to go eat something I get gas again but when I'm done I take another pill and feel better again. Those gas pains are bad. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem (8 days post op), I broke down today and had some cream of mushroom Soup and cottage cheese. I checked with my doc and was told to take it slow. My biggest problem was the chocolate/vanilla Protein drinks. I really struggle with those and have put them in a small glass with ice to make it more palatable. Good luck though it will get better!

Sleeved yesterday and doing great! No incision pain at all. A bit of gas pain high in the chest, PA says that's from the hiatal hernia repair they did. Been up wandering the halls a lot because as you know getting good sleep in a hospital just ISN'T going to happen, lol.

Probably going home tomorrow, staring on 1oz Protein cups today along with my ice chips.

So happy and surprised with the ease of it so far, hop that continues!!

Welcome to h sleeved side Alene, how you doing??

Yes ive had this too....honestly burping didnt help me....I had try and lay from side to side and get the gas to move around to be expelled that way. I was advised NOT to us gasX (sent my hubby to buy the strips for tongue) it was to be natural process of coming out. Can I ask what nausea meds ur on? My doc has me on the Scapolomin patch behind my ear, zolfarn tabs that go under ur tongue and then I have some liquid stuff...I forget the name of it. My advice would be to insist on something new for ur nausea...and then walk around ur living room....its honestly the only thing that helped me. Hope some of that helps. What meds r u currently on for acid and heart burn?

Day 14!!!! Doing pretty good. Gas pains are gone and belching after I eat is my sign to stop eating immediately. I am getting my fluids in pretty well but I am so over the Protein shakes!!! But I know I have to get them in so I keep trying. Yesterday I had my first real vomiting episode, out of the blue I got nauseas and hurled. After that I was fine and nothing was different so not really sure what I did wrong that my belly didnt like. I hope everyone is doing well, good job!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
