Hey ladies and gents....those who've been sleeved already I have a question. When u eat ur 1 to 2 ounces of food do u feel exhausted afterwards?

I was sleeved on the 3rd. It does eventually get better. I can actually drink a Premier Protein rtd within an hour. I don't really get tired anymore after eating. But now, it seems like it takes forever for my food to digest.

Hi, I'm 19 and I was sleeved on June 12th... I'm getting real nauseous when drinking the broths all I drink is Water with crystal light or ocean spray water flavors. Do anyone have any suggestions on what I can try that didnt make you nauseous?

Greetings June Sleevers! Just a quick update. I was sleeved on June 3rd. The surgery was much easier then I had anticipated. It was much easier then when I had my gallbladder out! The 1st week post op I was allowed clear liquids...the 2nd week was full liquids. Tomorrow I get to have a soft scrambled egg and am sooo looking forward to it! Actually I get to progress to pureed foods. I am looking forward to more flavors and tastes. Since before surgery I have not been hungry. It is weird, but I am glad. I have been able to drink, no, make that sip, 70 oz of Water almost every day. I seem to only get in 40 grams of protein...still have a ways to get to the 70 grams a day that the doc wants. I am glad this group has been here...it provided me with good info and support before surgery!

I read a tip on this board. Freeze diet 7-up in ice cube tray (freezing process removes the carbonation). They are supposed to help with nausea. I'm sorry I can't vouch that it works because I was lucky not to have nausea, but I have been putting the cubes in my water and crystal light. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi all! Just had my surgery done on June 10th & I need some support from others who are also going through this with me. I'm 6 days post-op - pain is subsiding but I am still getting this wierd wave of pain right below my rib cage every once in awhile but all day long. Anyone had this &/or know when/if it will subside soon?

Probably gas, so maybe you should try walking more. But if you go more than two days with pain in that exact spot you should be checked by your doctor to make sure you don't have a leak or something.

I have this when I drink to much in a gulp (while trying to take my tiny pain pills) standing up while I take them helps....but then also the walking. I dont walk far....but just up and down the driveway a few time. When u lay down try to prop urself up on which ever side hurts. Its more then likely gas pains. If these things dont help id call ur doc. My surgery was 6/12 so we are close in date range....u can message me personally if you want someone more on a personal level im here :-)

Today I am really depressed. I had my very first melt down. When ppl asked if I was okay I even cried. Has anyone else been through this? Maybe it's just a bad day but I just feel horrible?? I hope it's just a phase of some sort...

So, I was sleeved on the 11th and released on the 13th, I had a low grade fever yesterday and felt crummy. Today I feel better! I'm drinking two of those Protein Shake "juice" boxes, a 32 oz propel zero and about 32oz of Water, but I still feel hungry, is this normal or am I just having psychological cravings?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
