Had my 1 week post surgery check up today and after a scheduling mixup and waiting almost 2 hrs he calmed all my fears and freak outs. :) He cleared my to go back to the gym and move onto the purée stage (I'm supper excited for this!!!). He said just do as much as your body will tolerate. Listen to your body and your new smaller stomach. Thank you to everyone on here for all your words of encouragement. I think it's so awesome that we all can connect and ask questions and say our fears and share our ups and downs. Have a great day everyone!!

I was sleeved on the 4th of march. I'm getting more fluids in but not much Protein. Yesterday was the first time I felt nauseous from eating. I tried scram of broccoli and two spoons down and my stomach was not happy. So I'm sticking to the broths.

YES!!!!!! I found a new Protein powder that I may be able to tolerate......Its called nectar and I found at The Vitamin Shoppe and it comes in about 10 flavors.

I bought the sampler pack based on a recommendation from here, and for me, they are HORRIBLE! I took a pack of the green apple ecstasy and mixed with Water. To start with, it might as well have been unflavored, apple my foot. I put some sweetener in it and it didn't help. It's been in my fridge a couple of days now and I am trying to screw up the courage to try it again. In all fairness, I haven't been able to get ANY Protein down until today (sleeved Mar 5).

The other thing I found misleading was the description. Each pack has stamped in large numbers "23 Grams of Protein!"

Well, guess what. That's for the whole pack, and each pack has 4 servings. The packs are small, I would only have guess they were one serving each instead. So if you mix it as directions say, you are only getting SEVEN grams per shake. And I would rather drink ONE shake of Isopure or Pure protein Ready To Drink and get 35-40 grams thank to use these.

IMHO

Internet was out yesterday, so couldn't update. Glad to be back though! I have also been very cold, my hands are always icy and i've always got a sweater on and blanket around me, and sometimes that isn't enough. I remember my husband being this way to after his surgery. It does get better! Also same with the Diarrhea. Oh liquid diet, you can't end to soon!!

Hi everyone. I was sleeved 3/4' date=' went home the next day. No real issues besides the normal gas issues until today. Went to get my staples and drain taken out. Had a bit of trouble with the drain, when they went to pull it out it ripped the incision open more. Didn't feel to good. They ended up having to stitch it up. From the start of my preop diet I'm down 42 lbs. 20 since surgery. And none of my clothes fit anymore but I guess that's a good problem to have ;0)[/quote']

You Rock! That's awesome weight loss in this short of time!! That sucks about the incision ???? ouch

I was sleeved the 11th--I am home today-with drains. I'm suppose to call daily with drain amounts. Still have several ccs coming out of one of them. They are uncomfortable--

I was sleeved March 6th and since that day I have lost 20 lbs. crazy! I am focusing more on my Fluid intake than Protein. Yesterday's attempt at a shake made my sleeve twist and turn. Today is my surgeons appointment for a check up. We'll see what he says. I'm still having pain directly behind my belly button - searing' date=' burning, almost tearing pain. Totally confused as to what it is. I am so ready to feel better!!!!!!!!! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I am not getting my protein in either. Sleeved the 11th. Do better with straight Water. The protein I bought before this-tasted ok then--but now it makes me gag. I hope to find something that tasted ok.

Sleeved on the 12th. Today was my first full day home. I slept A LOT but each time I woke up I walked around my house for 15-30 minutes, did my deep breathing, and tried to get down a few more ounces very slowly. I'm only supposed to do Protein Shakes after I get in at least 32oz of Water. Well, I got my 32oz and now I'm slowly working on room temp beef broth with unflavored Protein Powder mixed in. I'm managing pain well. I csn seem to go longer periods of time btwn doses. Nothing tastes good, not the broth, not the sf stuff I added into my water, not even my water. But I'm sipin away anyhow.

Sleeved on the 7th, I feel amazing except that today I tried 1 tbs of fat free cottage cheese and about an hour later I got piercing pain underneath my drain site in waves for about 20 minutes. Down 20 lbs.

The drains are uncomfortable but will be out before you know it. Had mine taken out today and it doesn't hurt but It is a very strange feeling when the drain is pulled out.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
