Revision scheduled for March 19; freaking OUT!

Posted this in the pre op forum but wanted to post it here also.

I am scheduled to go from a lap band to a gastric sleeve and I am so nervous. I have made the mistake of reading EVERYTHING online about the gastric sleeve and it has frightened me to the point of backing out. I am on the verge of calling my doctor and telling him I've changed my mind. Is anyone in the same boat as me? Those of you who have had the surgery, were you satisfied? Is it worth it? Will the weight loss be better than the lap band (I lost only about 20lbs TOTAL)? I appreciate any comments and advice/suggestions.

I posted this in the pre op forum but wanted to post it here as well.

I had my revison surgery on January 14th and have had minimal issues. So glad to have gotten rid of that band and all the issues that came with it. Good luck!

Anyone had the band with plication revising to sleeve? That is what I had done in August 2012. Being sleeved tomorrow. I'm so nervous that I'm nauseous!

I am SO glad I stumbled upon this website. It is really easing my fears. Thank you all again.

I had my band taken out on Feb 4th, and I feel so much better without it, on March 29th I will have the sleeve done.
