3 days post-op, I was able to actually rest last night, I feel slightly less sore. I am having some stabbing pain on the right side of my chest. I hope it's gas and not a blood clot. I am walking and using a heating pad. I will call my dr or go to the ER if it doesn't get better.

In the meantime any other suggestions?

Katia...i'm also 3day postop and everything u wrote is exactly what im going thru. I feel a lot better today.using my heat pad and walking as much as I can. I had a sharp pain on my left side last night but I think it was either gas or my incision. I feel swollen still so i'm afraid to get on scale and see that I gained. May just wait until next week to weigh in. what r u eating? I drink Water and only half a popsicle a day!!!

I was sleeved Monday the 18th all went well but I had terrible nausea right after surg. And for the next few days. What we've learned so the hole coming from my esophagus into my stomach is near closes. All liquid I was dying to take ended up in my esophagus and then lungs. Now I have pneumonia. They have been feeding me by iV and talking about sending me home with an iV. I would like them to put a scope down my esophagus just to what it looks like. My drs are convinced its just swelling. I should know Moore soon. Be grateful we were able to have the surgery.

Guys I had a panic attack on the way to the hospital and therefore had to cancel but I am rescheduled for April 1. They have now given me meds for the panic attacks so I should be fine. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am trying it today and so far its working.

I hope you feel better and by April 1 everything is a breeze!!!

Omg the shoulder pain..uuggg. yes I had that as well up until yesterday. They said it is gas and it will work its way out. It sure doesn't feel like any gas I've ever had before lol.

I am happy to hear you are all patched up now. How long after surgery did you find out you were bleeding?

Sleeved on the 19th too. Was feeling fantastic until last night when I got him with horrible gas pains. From my left shoulder all around my middle, sides and back. Pain was so intense I couldn't hardly move. Continuing into today, though not as severe.

Does anyone know if this gas pain comes and goes? It just shocked me because I thought I was through with it. Sure hope it's not a sign of something more serious.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
