Frozen Yogurt Six days out?

People forget how much insurance costs people. Its usually a good chunk of our paychecks. Its just an ignorant thing to say. Lol

Yes... But I still pay that chunk and have to selfpay :( :( wish my insurance covered!!

So very true! I pay almost $500 a month for my insurance coverage. I had a $500 Copay for my surgery and no additional costs. None the less, I have paid my dues! Not to mention, a sleeve covered by insurance vs. a sleeve paid out of pocket makes no difference... They both function the same.

I believe her mention of asking me if I paid for my surgery was just a low blow, because she thought my question was ridiculous.

I'm going to try to freeze small bite size servings of Greek yogurt. I'm going to place freezer paper on a plate and drop small teaspoon sized yogurt drops onto it. Freeze until hard and then put them in a ziplock. High Protein, low sugar frozen yogurt bite.

IDK how well it will freeze but I'm going to try it.

I saw something like this on pinterest! I think people say it turns out good but I havent tried it yet. I freeze a lot of things. Frozen peas are fun to eat and so are grapes.

I love frozen grapes, I can't eat them yet because of the skin, but they do make a nice 'sweet' snack.< /p>

For some reason when I study I love to eat. Can't do that now of course but it's not a terrible thing to throw in my bag for the movies or whatever else. My baggies are just a lot smaller now lol

There isn't. There are a ton of people that judge things based totally on what its called. Once I had a personal recipe I had entered into MYF that was sort of pizzaesque so I just called it Grace's pizza recipe over there and people saw the term "pizza" and bricks were shat. That's just the way it goes.

Hahahaha love this.

I haven't read through all of the responses, but you can make ice cream out of a Protein shake! Pretty tasty too. This way you are getting in your Protein, which is your number 1 goal. (Well, Water is probably first on the list, protein second.)

Shelley at the World According to Eggface has lots of recipes for making protein ice cream:

Two years out... I'm on a bender eating frozen yog 3 times a week. I keep it small and low/non fat. I skip the sugar free because the sugar alcohol gets to me. I log everything I eat, and pay the price by not eating something else, or exercising a little bit more. I also bought the ice cream maker to make eggfaces Protein ice cream recipes. I just got a new blender with a smoothy setting... I take an ESA carb control Protein Drink, a few ice cubes and a 1/8 cup of peanut flour...wizz it up and so YUM. Also 25 gms of protein.

I think it is always wise to keep to the Drs plan... especially early out... that tender little tummy needs lots of TLC. Don't make it digest more than it has too early out...plenty of time to test the Water later!(as if water is the problem child!)...oh and by all means, go ahead and eat the pets wether you paid for them or not... they are non carb!(unless your pet is a potato)

All the frozen yogurt talk made me crave it. Got some sugar free at Sweet Frog for the first time since surgery (9 weeks) and it hit my intestines like a bomb. Guess that cured me...lol.

LOOOOL!!! That's funny. Lesson learned. It's funny how we have to learn through trial and error.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
