I am 3 days out from my surgery. I drink an oz or more every 15 min. per my surgeon. I don't really feel full from my liquids. Does anyone else feel like this. Although I do have some sharp pains kinda going up my chest. I'm debating on if that's the gas or indigestion. Although it does not feel like heartburn.

I get those feelings also. I taking it as gas since I then feel I have to burp. Since I have no pain, I don't take any meds for it. Unfortunately I'm not sure I know what indigestion or heartburn feels like.

Oh my I am 4 days post op and I am having the same experience. Not sure if its gas , I've been taking gas x and no relief. I have just today began to belch which helps those chest pains and I also make sure I'm drinking standing up that also seems to help. Hope it helps you as well.

That weight is probably Fluid. Don't worry about the scale at this point, concentrate on healing and I promise the weight will fall off!

I have not had any headaches nor have I gained weight. Can anyone really describe the 'full' feeling we should have afterwards on our liquid diet? Like I don't get a 'stuffed' feeling like I would before surgery.

I prepared for the headaches. I used to drink a lot of Diet Coke per op and knew after surgery if I didn't have caffeine I would die! I bought Crystal Light Energy and no headaches.

You probably should have slowly winged yourself off of the caffeine before your preop diet. I know every doctor is different, on my postop instructions he said NO caffeine.

After this healing phase is over, I'm sure you will love it. It will all go back to normal. Instead of us eating to hored food we will eat slow and pick at our food like kids do and enjoy the flavor of our food.

Idk if you are being given anything for nausea or not, but I was given Zofran religiously until my release from the hospital. My headaches went away when that medicine finally wore off. Apparently, it's a side effect...I didn't know, though and didn't actually connect the two until I took one the next day and got a horrible headache.

That was just my experience, like I said, I don't know if you're on anything for that or not...just something to consider, if you are. Congrats on your surgery!

After ignoring it for so long...it's a new experience thats for sure! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
