I threw up every hour on the hour and of course I'm that girl that when she throws up she also pees. It sucked! All I tasted was blood and bile for the whole week! Best of luck and keep us posted:)

Just curious if the ones who threw up had the patch? I thought it was supposed to help nausea! It worked for me and I didn't get a Migraine either. Started to, but warned the nurse and she got the ok to infuse another med. it worked.

Had my sleeve on the 18th of April . I'm trying to do 3 Protein Shakes a day. Trying to drink slowly. Cheated and had 2 yogurts. Small stony fields yogurt . Also had the broth and a tablespoon of ramen noodles. My tummy just rumbles and makes crazy noises. I'm using a heating pad cause my left side feels a little sore. So do I continue Protein shakes and Clear Liquids this week? Still have diarrhea , but only at night. I'm starting to think that the yogurt is giving me the diarrhea . I'll weigh in tomorrow .

I'm sorry that some people have nausea. I was given zofran and I never got sick. I hope everyone feels better!

Sorry to hear. I have nausea pills that the doc gave me to take proactively. Do you think maybe Prilosec or nexium would help? Fingers crossed for you!

Strongly recommend Nexium, Protonix, Prilosec, or something comparable for post-surgery.

Birdie, THREE Protein Shakes a day? THREE?!? How? I'm lucky to get one down over the course of a day. I balance them with cream Soups made with double milk. Managing to meet my Protein requirements that way.

My dr has me on full liquids for three weeks. Then, purée. Can't wait. I can have scrambled eggs on the purée diet!

I can only get about 4 ounces of Protein a day. I am having a really hard time getting more than 4 grams if protein. Also in the hospital I was on so many different nausea meds at once. I had the patch, a shot, and something in my I.V. I stayed on all 3 for 3 days.

That's how I get my protein in 2 EVEN though my doc put me on soft meats now

Be sure not to take in to much Protein if your not active enough for your body to burn it. If you are very active then that much is great. I'm back to walking 8 miles a day do I try to make sure I get 70-80g protein daily, also if you are not able to get that much down at once, blend a tablespoon of penut butter in it and that will add a boost to the protein

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
