Yesterday was 6month sleeviversary! First picture is the day of my surgery on 10/14/2015 and the second pic is 4/14/2016! I really do not know how much weight I have lost as I don't like to weigh myself; but I believe I have lost at least 70#.

good luck hopefull for a speedy recovery e-mail me when you get back good luck

awesome! Your tummy is so flat, I am debating doing tuck once I get these last 20 lbs off. Went from 296 to now 151. Trying to concentrate on weights in gym to tightened as much so I can truly see what if anything I need to do to my tummy. Boobs no hope will have to do something there. Only thing keeping them up is bra, lol

I'm starting to feel like a pic ho......but for so damn long I feared cameras.

Here's a family pic taken 6 months ago followed by a pic taken this week. In case you can't tell who is who......I'm the one in the orange shirt....looking like The Great pumpkin or whatever. :P

Fun stuff getting rid of this weight. Long way to go, but I can see getting there now. For so long I just couldn't grasp how.....how to get it off and fight every single day to keep it off. Now....it's feeling natural and attainable.

So damn grateful.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
