I passed a clot on Friday and have had pink when i wipe since then. I went to the er on Friday and they did a vaginal ultrasound and I still showed pregnant. Do y'all think this is a sign of a miscarriage? It's my first pregnancy and I've been under a lot of stress since Friday. My dad passed away unexpectedly.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father passing away. Please call your doctor's office and let them know what is happening. Best wishes to you.

Sorry for your loss. What you are going through doesnt necessarily mean miscarriage but you do need to see your OB. They may want you to rest until bleeding stops.

Well all morning I haven't seen any more pink when I wipe. I'm hoping it will stop. The er said if my pink became a period or if I'd see heavy bleeding to go back. I'm praying the little peanut sticks around. I really need him/her.

Good luck and hang in there. I had two serious bouts of bleeding in the first trimester. One was heavy like a period (with clots) and my husband and I were very upset and sure it was over and we were going to lose the baby.

In our case, it resolved and we've had no issues since. I'm now 35 weeks and can't wait to meet our little girl. So try to stay positive.

I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. Try to stay as calm and positive as you can about the pregnancy. I'm sure they told you at the ER that there isn't much they can do (that's why my doc told me, anyway) because that early on they can't really stop a miscarriage. But do keep your eyes out and do try to take it as easy as you can. My OB told me that pretty much, even going onto bedrest won't change the outcome if the baby isn't going to make it, but he did say to avoid sex for a short time if I saw bleeding or felt discomfort and to try to relax as much as possible.

Best of luck to you. This is definitely an emotional time for you but your best bet is to stay as calm and collected as possible, and just try to stay positive that everything will be okay.

I saw my gyno this morning and he said my uterus is empty. That he thinks since it's early on that the slot could have been the baby. I've heard of a lot of people getting depressed over a miscarriage but in my case I see it as it wasn't meant to be. The pain I feel for losing my dad is far more painful and stressing. Thank you all for your words. I think now I can let it all out.

I've been down that road many times Hun. You are taking it the right way. If there was something wrong with the fetus this early than it might have been much worse later. It's especially common in first pregnancies and women go on to have healthy pregnancies from there :). Best of luck with your future peanuts. Take care.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
