warning - gross and embarassing question

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am pre sleeve. I am so big in my thigh area that I have these bumps on my upper inner thigh from the heath/rubbing together. They're hard and painful. I guess you call them boils. They used to not be there before I gained all the weight. Wondering if anyone else had these and if they went away once you lost weight and didn't have your thighs rubbing together and sweating all the time. Sorry I know its disgusting but im really hoping weight loss makes them go away.

Don't worry about asking these kind of questions (just visit the ladies or men's sub-forums and you'll see :-P). I can guarantee you that someone out there is wondering the same thing.

And I can tell you I HAD the same kind of bumps. They were like a swollen pimple that wouldn't pop. About the size of a green pea.

I'm only 6 weeks out and mine have gone away.

I had them as well, my gynecologist actually used to prescribe something for them. I also found that using Gold Bond powder between my legs (and under my breasts as well) helped a lot. Once I lost about thirty pounds, the problem disappeared.

I am a guy, and I have them too, I know they go away from when I have lost weight before. I am sure a lot of people here have had them before as well. That's one of the things I like about this site, don't need to be embarrassed..... Hope I helped. :-)

I am in shorts or a bathing suit for most of my days. I have a problem with chafing. I use Body Glide anit chafing it looks like a stick of deodorant. I swear by it. its a little pricey I purchased it at sports authority however I just found it on ebay. I hope it works for you. I couldn't walk with out it! I have changed my life!

This will sound weird but use deodorant on that area before you put clothes on. It helps with the rubbing. Make sure it's the powder kind and not gel or that will burn

There are several good anti-chafing creams. Most pharmacies sell the Gold Bond one, and it's only a few dollars per tube. It sounds like weight loss helps some people. I still had problems with chafing at a healthy weight. It could be a fat distribution thing only Lipo can cure, but, again, each person is different!

Body glide was the best thing I ever discovered for this issue. I still use it... I just use less now that I'm post surgery. That stuff is amazing!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
