1wk until I start my liquid diet!

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys I'm one week away from starting my liquid diet. Part of me wants to pig out and get it all in before I start my liquid diet. But, the other part of me says start preparing your body. Did anyone else feel this way and what did u do pig out or got a earlier jump start to ur weight loss?

Hehehe, I just posted earlier that I was "pigging out" some. I feel like I want to get all the delicious food in me before I no longer can. I've pigged out on bread...and I'm not a big bread eater which is weird. Also on some chocolate. I've been offsetting it with walking each day. I hope to keep up with the walking so it will help me lose the maximum weight in the beginning.

When is your surgery, sleeve buddy?

Hi Ladies,

Although my surgery isn't until April, it may be moved up a month. Will know in a week or so. Anyway, I am too scared to pig out prior to going in the liquid diet. This is a personal thing, but I am thinking that if I pig out prior it is going to be harder to give up. I struggle with several food adictions or trigger foods and I don't want that when I start the liquid. In fact, I did a liquid test a couple days ago and it was okay. Anxious to hear how you gals do.

I feel the same way. My surgery date is feb 28th. I have made a list of foods I want to hit before I start my pre op diet. I also am trying to plan a "last Supper" . I'm excited to get started on this new life and leave this old one and the extra weight behind. I know I won't miss the food because I will be so excited about all the weight I'm loosing. I'm afraid I'll trade my addiction to food with an addiction for clothes shopping. I can't wait!!!!!

I start my pre op diet February 15th! I'm planning on cooking my boyfriend Valentines dinner (it's our tradition). Now that I know it's the last night I can really eat before surgery I've changed the menu to all my favorites haha. As far as the "pigging out" goes, I still have to loose weight before my surgery so I'm not really planning on doing that. I'll probably try to hit up a few of my favorite restaurants this week though!

You're last supper sounds delicious!! I went to culinary school so I'm a pretty good cook. Our Valentines Dinner/Last Supper will be Arrancini Balls with a pesto dipping sauce to start and Braised short ribs, asiago mashed potatoes, and garlic spinach for our main course! I'm sure I'll be content after that! :)

Not that I'm a cheater or anything, but did anyone try laxatives to get rid of some excess weight a few days before the final weigh in?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
