Hey all! I'm new here! I've been looking around the website for a bit trying to gather all of the information that I can find. I booked my surgery for March 8 with Dr. Aceves. I'm having revision surgery from band to sleeve. Slightly nervous but from what I have heard I'm going to be in good hands :)

Pre-Op diet .... sucks. I have gone over every single Protein shake that I own or can find in the store and think now I'll have to just stick to whey. I have some Body by Vi left over, Reshape (something that we used to sell but its not a meal replacement), Muscle Milk, whey (from Costco). I've always looked at labels but clearly neglected to look at Carbs! I was quite shocked in the amount of them in yogurt and milk - oh and my frozen fruit that I put in my Protein Shake :(

I understand the importance of the pre-op diet very well ..... what did you all do? I tried to do the "math" and have my carbs come in at 30. Whey Protein looks like its my best bet - do any of you have any other ideas?

I'll keep reading the boards -- but if anyone can give me a little advice on what you had during the day it'd be greatly appreciated! Surgery is a month away and I'd like to start this weekend for the best results!

Thanks all!

Alana :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
