Are You In The Green Zone???

Recommended Posts

I am definetly in the yellow, and I havent been banded very long. For the last two days I cant get full. Im eating more than I should. Is it too early to get a fill? I go back to the doctor for my checkup Friday, will he do a fill after 5 weeks?

I'm a little scared!! Maybe, a lot scared.....:cry :cry

I'm in the yellow zone too, unfortunately. I had my first fill six weeks ago (4.5 cc in a 10 cc band). I haven't lost any weight in about three to four weeks. I'm going in for my next fill tomorrow. Hopefully, things will get better.

Wow--I am mostly in the green zone....I have good restriction. Lately I have had a couple of red days!! I have occasional reflux...I never have been told to decrease my Fluid intake...in fact I am in a monthly challenge to get enough fluid in each day. Sometimes all this conflicting information just makes me feel like I am losing my mind!!! If I have another bout of reflux, I might have to try cutting back on my Water I guess. Thanks!

I'm absolutely in the yellow zone, eating way to much and trying to stop but struggling. I still feel hungry alot. I haven't achieved that satiated feeling yet.

And I went for a fill in Sept and my dr refused to give me one because I had lost greater that 2 lbs per month. He says that my goal is 1/2 to 1 lbs per week, and he won't give me another fill til I go 4 weeks without wt loss.

So far, my wt loss is about 2.5 lbs per month.

I guess that's good, I'm trending down.

By far my greatest weight loss times have been post fill liquid diet weeks.

It doesn't seem normal to me, but my doctor and his staff keep telling me I'm doing ok.

Missy, I've lost slowly like that and over a year it REALLY adds up. Its healthy and lasting weight loss and you dont lose your hair and your skin doesnt end up hanging off you either. Its great progress!

I havent lost for about 6 weeks at all otherwise I wouldnt be phased by being in the yellow zone in the slightest. But I obviously need way less calories now than I used to to lose weight and I cant seem to keep up the discipline to actually diet, so its time for a fill I think.

what a great chart. I've considered a fill recently but I'm not sure. I've mad other lifestyle changes and I want to wait now. I think I'm all green area but in the recent past I was cheating a lot.

Heavy sugared alchohol drinks and drinking with meals was a habbit. I need to level out and see if the wait loss returns. 90 days I've not drank anything but the drinking with meals could stand some improvement.

I am mostly in the green zone but I do have the occasional yellow zone day where I am compelled to munch all day.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
