Rheumatoid arthritis and biologic meds question

Has anyone been on biologic medications before surgery? I'm currently taking Rituxian every 6 months, it seems to be wearing off after about 4 but that's another matter. I'm scheduled for my first visit with the weight loss doc on the 16th of Feb. I'm so ready to begin my journey.
