Please read...travel buddies...vacations...places to travel with sleeves!

Recommended Posts

I am in St. George, UT, close to 3 National Parks - Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon. Not too far from Las Vegas either.

Hey, Lain01 - March 14th is a wonderful day to have surgery. Had mine one year ago on that date, and it has been one of the best years of my life.

I think that's a great idea. I'm having a moment today and I'd love to sit with someone who understands

I think this is a great idea! I am not sleeved yet but I am a revision from band to sleeve. I wanted to go on vacation B4 I got sleeved !! How ironic huh !!! LOL So for all of you out there who would like a VIP travel counselor who by the way "specializes" in Orlando and Walt Disney World travel packages let me know and I will be glad to show you around town !!! This is one of the things I am looking forward to .... to be able to actually "ride the rides" at WDW, Universal Studios and Seaworld.

Id like to generate enough buzz about this topic...I just think that there have been so many people that I have met on here who have and are so supportive and helpful. It would be incredible if we could get enough people interested that would like to plan for a large get together or mini vacation celebration and see how it goes..maybe make a yearly event. Im newly sleeved but this just sounds like fun to me! What do you think?

That sounds fun, great idea :)

I love this! I live visiting new places. I am going to Sacramento in October for a wedding and plan to drive to the redwood national forest.

This is an awesome idea. I'm also in Orlando near the parks. I'm pre-op (no surgery date yet) but can't wait to lose the weight so I can enjoy my favorite rides again. I love the roller coasters in Universal but haven't been on in a while for fear of getting kicked off...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
