Carbs for sure. I am almost never hungry, but those empty carbs sure do like company. Be careful with being negative with yourself. It's that spiral of guilt, stress eating, guilt that started so many of us on a bad path

Don't beat yourself up. It was one day, one slide. The weight gain was likely just due to sodium. Even if we eat according to plan, sometimes, the scale goes up (can't help myself I weigh every day). 50 lbs is fantastic! You will be fine, and if the time comes you have another 'oops', it's OK. As long as they are not every meal every day - you will be good. :-)

@newgrandmother, girl don't feel bad or beat yourself up about, we all make those types of mistake. I hate it when I don't bring my lunch to work, then I am forced to buy something from the cafeteria. Luckily we have a Chic fil a now and I usually get small side salad.< /p>

Lately I have been craving sweets though, darn that pinterest! But I just try to reduce the amount of my serving and I good. Right now I wanted a Coconut Cake, and its in the oven know only 4 carbs per serving and it is soooo yummy and satisfy that sweet tooth.

Take other's advise about having a back up plan at work with Protein Bars or something that you can easily store.

Good luck with your continued success!!!

We were sleeved about the same time and I have had more than one of these days! I I don't think you did anything wrong! You didn't eat as healthy as you have been in the past but your portions were TINY! Before surgery I could eat 5 slices of pizza and 12 chicken wings, maybe you could have too. I think that is the biggest change. The bad food isn't quite so bad when your only eating 100 calories of them vs. 1500 calories. I think you are doing great!

So true, that's why we can't be so hard on ourselves.

I'm a new grandma too! She's 4 months old and already too fat. I am on her mama all the time! She's one of those difficult babies and they stick a bottle in her mouth to stop the crying! I've tried to explain you're teaching her that food soothes her emotions! We've been spoon feeding her Cereal so she eats slower and stay full longer.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
