Boobs during surgery

Recommended Posts

Hehehe I love it! So I am a surgical nurse and you will notice that when you lie flat on the bed our breast will kinda roll out instead of down, and the highest incision they would make for an abdominal surgery would still have to be under the rib cage. Also the drapes help consolidate the area. I have not had to tape anyones breasts back yet (altough this is probaby what we would do) but there is a first time for everything I suppose!

Are dirty pictures allowed' date=' otr?

I'll show you mine if you show me yours![/quote']

Ummmm, well, if they are sent via PM nobody will know.

Ladies, I'd also like to offer my services to those pesky breasts out of your surgeons way.

Speaking of catheters ....when I woke up and took my first trip to the restroom I was bleeding...so I called my nurse and told her that my catheter was causing me to bleed...her response: "you didn't have a catheter placed!" lol the bleeding was actually caused from the incision above my belly button..it hade slight reopened and the blood kinds leaked down to my lady parts lol!!!! Moral of story(if there is one lol) Not all surgeons require catheters

I didn't have a catheter until after surgery . I only got one because all the anti nausea meds and anaesthesia made my bladder lazy and I could not go for hours.

I could not stop laughing. Why is it that the valid serious questions can be the funniest? I would have never even thought about it but now that you say it, despite it being funny, it is a fact.

What do they do to keep our boobs out of the way?

Because i am sorry but us big girls got some "big girls" lol...

Maybe I will ask my doc when I go in for surgery next month..lol

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
