Where are my sleeve buddies? Dr. Perez in Cancun on March 8th

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I look forward to reading it in full. I'm always glad to hear positive stories from patients of Dr. Perez...they reassure me that I have made the right choice. :) Surgery is coming up soon...five weeks to the day! Getting more and more nervous and excited now.

My passport arrived yesterday...ahhh! Just 30 days to go! My pre-op diet starts next Friday...it seems like everything is happening so fast. How is everything going with your planning, Evelyn? I hope you're doing well!

Hello Courtney!

I got my passport last week on Friday. I paid for expedited service to have it renewed, and one week later it arrived. I was in shock because that was the fastest I have ever gotten a passport. Our surgeries are right around the corner! I hope to meet you in Cancun. :D

Day one of my pre-op diet has gone smoothly, which is hard to believe considering the amount of leftover Valentine's Day candy and Cookies I've been surrounded by! I bought a tub of Body Fortress whey Protein tonight at Publix and it's actually not bad at all! :)

I just got back from being sleeved by Dr. Perez on January 25. My husband went with me. Let me assure you that you have nothing to worry about. Everyone is very kind. Mario & Lupita picked me and my husband up at the airport to take us to the hotel. They didn't speak much English but enough. Abraham (the owner of the car company) took us to the hospital. He was very informative and gave Lee (hubby) suggestions on where to eat or get Snacks. My husband' date=' who doesn't like Mexican food, found the food - especially at 100% Natural - to be delicious (sorry, sleevers, that is for your companions). Also, don't be too shy to ask for a pillow for your companion. The "bed" they have has a square cushion that my husband used the first night and his neck killed him. He asked for a pillow, sheet and blanket for the 2nd night - no problems!

All of the surgical staff speaks English. The operating room (to which you walk yourself) is very modern. The entire hospital is clean but very small. I got dizzy walking the hall.;) That was probably the only negative of my entire trip.

Feel free to ask if you have specific questions. I am getting ready to post my experience in full so you can read that too, if you want.[/quote']

My date is set for April 20 with Dr. Perez. I'm glad to hear everything went well for you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
