Ok I'm down 56 lbs over all 22 since surgery, but I've only lost 3 inches on my waist line.....does this make sense?

What about....

Hips

Butt

Thighs

Boobs

Arms

The weight comes from somewhere, not all will come from the waist. The fat is distributed all over, not just in one general location, although bigger in places.

We can not "spot" reduce so doing a thousand crunches will not make the waist smaller - only when the fat comes off. You'll have strong abs!

I think everyone loses from different areas. I tend to lose first in my chest and neck/shoulders, then waist, then my face, hips, thighs, and arms. I'm down about 37lbs total and I don't feel like I look any different, but my husband has definitely noticed. I think it's because I'm losing in those places that weren't proportionally big to begin with.

I've definitely lost other places, I'm at the jiggly stage, my thighs, butt breasts and the areas under my arms even my shoes size has gone down a whole size. Which is uncomfortable because everything is lose, my husband has a fascination with my rear since it has become so "soft", which makes me uncomfortable.... So I just have to wait then to start losing from the waist. Thank u both :) I feel my weight loss has been slow but I need to get my fluids in which I've been struggling to do 6 weeks out. But I am getting my Protein in. how have you both done since getting the surgery?

I consider myself a slow loser. I'm 6 weeks post-op and I've lost about 21lbs, 37lbs including the pre-op diet. I suck getting in my fluids, but that's always been a struggle for me - even before I had surgery. I like to think I've got the Protein thing down. I shoot for 80g a day and probably average about 60-70g most days. I'm happy with that for right now.

I'm only 10 days post op, I've lost 20 since day of surgery, 26 total.

Today is the first day I got all my Protein in, although close on the others. I realized the majority if my calories, for now, will have to come from Protein shakes, (I'm on soft puréed) but 1/2 an egg isn't much. Lol

My 26 lbs has definitely come from my thighs and some in butt and stomach. I'm not going to complain, they're the biggest areas on my. I took measurements pre op so I would know...at the times I may get discouraged, so I can just look at the numbers and compare later on, down the road.

Don't be discouraged. It's coming off and that's the good news!

It just takes a while for us to notice. :)

I've lost 76 pounds including my preop, sleeved in sept. I've lost from my face, chest, some arms and some legs. Gone down 1 shoe size and 6 sizes in pants. However I have hardly lost anything in my lower part of my stomach. Unfortunately that's the place that holds the majority of my weight, ugh! But I am super pleased with the 76 pounds, lol!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
