Am out of op but unfortunately the band was awkward to get out so the surgeon couldn't do my sleeve. Totally gutted, was so prepared for this & excited for weight loss. Plan is to cone back in 6 months for sleeve.

So I'm 11 days post op and I feel fantastic. I had a hard time getting my Protein in but think I found a solution and wanted to share with anyone else struggling. I mix have Atkins Dark chocolate Protein Drink and half skim milk. Its not too thick and no after taste. So far its working wonderful. Almost feels like I'm drinking chocolate milk. Well I guess I am in a way. I hope all March sleevers are doing well. Good luck to the last few that are being sleeved this month.

Wow, 11 days already! I feel like i just read a preop post from you! Thanx for the taking tip. I have a bunch left over from my preop diet and wasn't sure when or if I'd be able to use them. Tomorrow is surgery for me.

God Bless, to all you girls ready to go!

I was sleeved on March 8th. This thursday will be 21 days. I should start on a soft puree diet by the end of the week. Honestly for me, the first 36 hrs was rough, but soon after that I started to feel better each day. I have been weak and very cold since the operating, but again once I eating a little regularly, my energy will increase.

The scale keeps going down, which is awesome! With a little patience, and before you know it. We will be well on our way to our goal!

Hey y'all! I was sleeved yesterday. The whole operation took only 45 minutes and the surgeon said it was very easy. I spent extra time in recovery with high bp, but it's regulated now. I spent all of last night so sick from the pain pump medicine, though. When I finally convinced the nurses to stop giving it to me and give me something not as strong, the nausea went away. :)

I have a two-story house and my room is upstairs. I've made about 5 trips up and down the stairs to get more Water. I'm able to take in about 3 oz per hour, except when I have to take medicine, then it's only about 1-2 oz.

I'm using Isopure blue with blue G2 and it's pretty good! I count that as liquid intake for now. Thanks to all of you in the forum who have prayed for all of us. I hope your surgeries are as smooth as mine!

I was self-pay, so not an insurance thing. If I'd needed the extra night, I could have had it, but I was up and walking soon and feel pretty good after the nausea subsided. The nurse did say if my bp and nausea weren't better I would have another night, but everything got better once they stopped my heavy pain meds.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
