I was a size 24/26....I'm now a 14 (however, I do fit into size 12P stretch jeans quite comfortably.

I am in a 10/12 now and started at about a 20/22. I was banded 9/05. I would like to be in a size 8 and would be pretty close to it if I could get a Tummy Tuck.< /p>

I got into a size 4 today! I can't believe it. They were a bit tight so I think another 10 lbs and they will be comfy and then another 10 and I will be in a 2....god willing. I am only 5ft 0".

I don't know for sure what my real size was - I was in denial once I got to a size 34... I just wore tight clothes, people.

Now, I am fitting into 28 or 30 depending on the brand and the type of clothing. My goal is a 14.

My fantasy goal is a size 12. I can't even visualize it... I certainly can't remember ever being that thin as an adult.

Good luck to all.

I started at a size 20, and am now a 16W/18. I would be happy at a size 10, but would love to see 8. I am 5' 6 1/2". For me at about 160 I am a size 10, so I am hoping for the 145lb size 8. I have a very distinctive pear shape, and currently wear M or L tops. I wish I could just lose from my bottom half.

I'm from the UK, so we are a wee bit different than the US. For example your 16 is our size 18. That's why I like shopping in the US he he.

Before Op I was a 22 (Us20)

17 Days after I am 18/20 (US16/18)

My goal is to fit comfortable into a size 14 (US12). I am 5ft 7' and to be honest size 14 is the average size I remember wearing as a teenager and when I first discovered I was pregnant and lost a lot of weight (first and last time without trying!)

The thought of wearing a 12 is just so unbelievable that It isn't even worth considering.

I'm happy enough getting into a smaller size of clothes only after 3 weeks of being lapbanded. Any thing else will truly be a gift!

I am between 16 & 18 and my ideal is an 8 I'm 5'3" and think that a 8 is somewhere around 140. As for those of you who say I'll know it when I get there I would be suprised if you really do. My friend had gastric bypass and shes 5'7" and 145 and she still isn't happy with what she sees in the mirror. She has the "apron" and still considers herself fat.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
