update on me: feeling GREAT! however I lost 14 lbs my first week and nothing since. I'm two weeks out and I guess my stall hit early! I'm not down about it though, I read everywhere how these things happen :) Able to drink more now so I've been focusing on getting more Water in and drinking my Protein Shakes. Love my sleeve!

I'm the same, lost 12 pounds the first week, then nothing...today is 2 weeks post-op

We will get there! Until then we can be stall buddies! Lol

Hoping the scales moves in our favor soon! :)

I stalled during my second week as well. Upped my cals for a day and started losing again. Right now I'm 5 weeks today and only lose 1-bs a week. Some days nothing. But I have faith eventually the weight will come off. Maybe I just need to eat a Twinkie to make my body believe all is right with the world hahahaha

I was sleeved on 1/30 and feel normal. Walk LOTS and am able to easily get in my Protein, fluids and Vitamins. I have lost 13 lbs in 14 days and countless inches so I have nothing to complain about. Since I'm a self-diagnosed datawhore here is the nitty gritty of my weight/inches/size loss on a weekly basis if you're curious: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtW90JQQyIegdG1wZFpQemNDZTkxR1lodDRzdnoyaEE&usp=sharing :D

Today is my two week mark and I'm down 33lbs. I have had a super wonderful recovery until today when I was struck with the dreaded left shoulder pain. This is some of the worst pain I have ever been in. I know it's gas but I literally cannot function. Anyone have any advice??

Walk it off like a half mile walk if you can. It is the only way and I used pain killers at night because I could NOT lie down.

I was sleeved 1/23. I lost 13 lbs in the first two weeks and nothing since. I know the stall is normal so I'm not super worried. I've also had a hard time getting all my Protein and Water in. It's been better the last two days and I'm now on soft foods!

I'm betsyann07 on my fitness pal. I can't figure out how to find people on my app. Lol

Jan 28 sleeved and I am feeling great now that I realized I have lost 27 pounds since surgery. I felt like I hadn't lost any weight but I was wrong. This forum has helped keep me motivated. I am noticing changes in my hair already. Sad face.

I was sleeved 1/24. took me a week to leave the hospital.

I got a horrible rash and drinking Water still hurts.

I'm down 14lbs but it doesn't feel like success.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
