Fever is never a good sign. Go to emergency if you can't see anyone right now

Symptoms of a sleeve leak include pain in the abdomen that gets worse rather than better, swelling in the stomach, pain in the left shoulder or chest, dizziness, fever, infection and the appearance of sickness.

How high is your fever? I had the same symptoms 4 days out and the surgeon was OK with my fever at 99.8, but no higher. If it went to 100 or above, I was to go to the ER right away.

If you are unsure, just go to the ER and don't mess around. It's better to be safe than sorry. Hope you feel better soon!

CALL YOUR SURGEON NOW. Symptoms could be fever (mine told me over 101), abdominal pain, tachycardia (elevated heart beat), intolerance to liquids and other. Varies by person.

A leak is nothing to mess with and can lead to serious complications including death.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
