Just an update. Sleeved 12/17/12

Highest weight 254

Preop weight 243

Day of surgery 233

Today: 148

My original goal was 150 but a "normal" BMI for me would be 147, so almost there. I was a slow but steady loser of 1.5 to 2 lbs per week without any significant stalls.

I'm happy and energetic. I'm "blessed" with a small sleeve and really couldn't eat more than I currently do. Now I'm kind of worried that I might lose too much weight. I'm not concerned yet since I don't even have a normal BMI, but when should I be concerned?

I eat 1000 to 1200 calories per day and walking is my only exercise -about 2 1/2 hours per week.

I checked with my nutritionist and she suggested adding a Protein Shake in the evening. She said we could make adjustments at my annual visit in 10 weeks. But that could be another 10 lbs from now and that might worry me.

Anyone else have these concerns or am I just being irrational?

I am not concerned that I won't quit losing weight. I have had to fight for every pound lost, and I know that I'm one of those people who could start gaining it all back today if I don't watch it. My loss was pretty rapid at first, but after month 6 it really slowed to 6-7 pounds a month. I still have 40 pounds to go, so that could take another 6-12 months. We are all different, but unless you have some evidence that you lose weight in spite of a high calorie intake, or that you are unable to take in enough calories, I doubt it will be an issue for you. Even people who have a lot of restriction can pack in a few extra calories in a small volume. Think full fat ice cream and things like that.

I worried Im gonna get to thin too

Glad I'm not the only one. I lost another 1.5 lbs this week and I'm trying to eat more.

Like I said, I'm just barely a normal BMI so I'm not really worried yet. I'll see what they say at my annual visit in December. Just glad to know I'm not alone.

Hello I have a question for this group...

I am 154 pounds now ,I have a normal BMI...and only need 7 1/2 pounds to go....I am 5'7 ....

my weight loss is a snails crawl ....sleeved Dec 26, 2013 ....I think it's because my body thinks it's in Maintenance ...which is bound to happen when I get this close to goal...

My question is ,what is a good calorie range should I be in to maintain. ..currently I eat about 1000 to 1100 calories...protein 65 to 70 ...carbs 100-130 (a little higher than I like...but fruit is killing me )

Highest weight 296

surgery weight 264

Today 153.6

Patty

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
