Lol well being on a forum like this in general does that! But especially bfing is such a touchy subject & so many folks think that they are an expert, and there is so much outdated info out there!

Wow I never realized that sharing my opinion or advice would result in so many rude & catty responses! I thought we were all on this forum to help each other and offer support and advice not be rude to each other. If you did not like my advice or my suggestion to you, you simply could have thanked me for offering it and moved on. You didn't have to be rude like you did as well as the other posters in this thread. As for the other people, my information is neither wrong nor outdated. I have been a nurse for nine years working in a pediatric department. All of my information is the most current and up-to-date. The only reason I suggested pumping and dumping to you, is because that is what I did. I was sleeved on December 10 and have a four month old. While other people might tell you it's okay to breast-feed while on narcotics, that is not something I personally would want to take a chance with. Whatever you decide, I hope it works well for you. I will make sure to never post on your threads again. Like I said, this forum is supposed to be about helping people, and sharing your advice and experience. It seems like you and the posters of this thread have turned it into attacking people you don't think are right in their answers. How sad.

I'm glad I saw this. I think you will be ok-I'm sure you and he are both motivated to do whatever it takes. You could always take fenugreek or drink mothers milk tea to keep you're supply if it starts to dwindle. Good luck! I have ebf'ed 2 kiddos and hope to have a 3rd in 2 years and will hopefully be able to ebf baby 3!

I had surgery in Oct. 2012 and I'm still nursing several times a day but my milk supply has definitely decreased. I'm having to switch breast. I may look into ways to increase my milk supply but my baby is 17 months old now and I plan to have her fully weaned when she turns 2 yrs old. I've never had supply issues before surgery. Also make sure that getting in fluids is your number one priority. I was thirsty a lot and had to wake up during the night to stay hydrated. Hell I even drank gatorade during the liquid phase because I needed the cals and electrolytes. I know this is a old post but if you have any questions feel free to message me :) Good Luck

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
