I am so glad you pursued treatment even though the lump didn't show up on tests. So happy you kicked cancer to the curb. Do what you need to do and the sleeve will be yours in 2013.

BrickHouse, your story was very moving and inspiring. So glad they got all the cancer. Hopefully your chemo therapy goes well for you and you can continue to work towards your sleeve. Best wishes to you.

My thoughts are with you, everything happens for a reason take it one step at a time. You mentioned that all the cancer is gone and the chemo is basically so the chances of it coming back are cut in half. I would definately have the chemo first from what I have seen people tend to gain weight during their treatments and it has nothing to do with how they eat. If you have wls then your chemo, you may feel dissapointed that you do not lose weight and you would have done it for nothing. Take all you have learned about how to eat & how much to eat and start losing without the surgery, then once you have gone through all your therapies you will be in a stronger place to succeed with the wls.

I wish you the best of luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
