Click vs. Chike

Recommended Posts

I just love Chike, but it is pretty pricey per serving. I see Click is a similar coffee Protein Drink and a little less expensive - wondering for those of you who have tried both, is Click of similar taste and quality? Do you like both?

Thanks!

Hey There! A topic near & dear to my heart & stomach ;) I have been using Chike for a couple YEARS now, have compared so many Meal Replacement drinks, Chike is my preferred coffee and meal replacement drink. I have used Click, Premier, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury, Isopure, and a bunch more, but as far as complete nutrition, Chike has them all beat.

Click has only 15 grams of Protein, to Chike's 20 grams. Maybe the tub from Click makes individual servings a little cheaper, but I like that Chike is closer to a meal replacement.

I have also used the chocolate, vanilla, and orange flavored meal replacement powder in coffee - both hot & cold, and LOVE it. Click only offers coffee based flavors, Chike offers five flavors other than just coffee.

For me, getting a higher porportion of Protein is what I am looking for, that and taste. Hope that helps - contact both companies & see if they will send you samples! Best way to decide is by the numbers (nutrition) and taste - good luck!

Hey Julie --

I had to go look upCellucor - and was struck with the one thing that differs between Protein drinks & Meal Replacement drinks --- the amount of Protein and then the nutrients.

The best way I can explain the difference between the two - imagine two plates, one has just a chicken breast, the other has a smaller chicken breast, but it includes veggies & some simple carbs. Protein supplements do not garner the "Meal Replacement" moniker unless they have a decent percentage of the common 23 Vitamins & minerals that the USDA recognizes as necessary to thrive.

Cellucor looks to be a weight gainer type of Protein Drink, one used by serious athletes, (weight gain is not fat but muscle). Is it a bad drink? Probably not. Is it a good source of protein? To a degree. I just like to balance my "meal" replacement offers with the nutrients, the amount of calories, the type of calories, and of course the amount of protein I get when I substitute my meal.

I have used Meal Replacements drinks for a long time. I found whey works better for me, over the soy based ones. I like NatureAde, it isn't as high in protein as many of the whey products, but I am always open to new products. Cellucor is only 130 calories - a definite plus for 30 grams of protein, but it does not include any of the USDA recommended nutrients.

Chike is a happy balance of protein and nutrients, and I like the flavors - all 5 of the meal replacement and the additional coffee flavor. It will be a a personal taste preference, for sure! You won't get benefits from a drink you will not drink daily. Chike isn't too sweet for me, so I am more able to enjoy instead of just "gulp it down" for the protein. When you have a limit as to how much you can eat, you have to eat more creatively ;)

My suggestion, contact Chike, see if they have samples, then you will have a better view if it is the right product for you. That is how I started using Chike, they talked with me over the phone, asked if I knew the difference between protein vs. meal replacement drinks (I did, as I was on a seven month program years ago), and they sent me FREE samples. I have been a fan & user of Chike for YEARS, and drink it for 2 of my 5 meals each day.

I am a lay person, but I think after losing over 200 pounds, I may have an idea how this process works. I just got my two year follow up blood test, and my numbers are great! Give Chike a try, try LOTS of products, then you will know what YOU like and will continue to use.

I have some Chike. I've also tried EAS, Muscle Milk, Cellucor, Jay Robb, and am about to try the costco Premier shakes. I like the taste of Cellucor and Chike the best. EAS I used before my surgery, but can't stand it now. ANd Muscle Milk runs through me and I can't drink it anymore.

I also put Dynamic Green and Fruits in my shakes once a day as well. I'm loving it so far!

I ordered from Amazon and got free shipping. The Chike website sells it, also.

Hope this helps. :)

I got mine right from their website. I received a follow up phone call a week later asking if I had question about nutrition or any comments about the taste of the product. Very nice customer service.

Where do you order it from

iLikeChike.com -- or they have a toll free number (they are in Texas, so call during CST) 800-929-9439 -- AND if you get a flavor you don't like, they will either refund you or send you a DIFFERENT flavor, that's what hooked me! There are 6 flavors, one of them is the coffee. I don't just like Chike, I LOVE Chike.

I looked at the Amazon prices, Chike direct is cheapest for me (free shipping on every order I have made)

My fridge top ALWAYS has Chike tubs!

You can get single-packs of Click too if you want to try it. I think it makes great frappuccinos - I blend with almond milk and ice, and sometimes some sugar free mocha Syrup. I haven't tried the new Chike coffee flavor yet, but I like their other flavors.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
