Today is my 7th day on the liquid diet. I'm down 12lbs. I found the Swanson's broth (Chicken' date='Beef, Vegetable) to be really gross. I've been making Campbell's chicken Noodle Soup and straining the noodles. The first few days I was drinking 4-5 shakes a day and now I'm down to 2-3. I am not really a fan of SF Water flavorings but I found Crystal Lite Pink Lemonade to be good.[/quote']

I wish I could do Campbell's instead of broth. My NUT wouldn't let me. :(

How is everyone doing on pre-op? Today is my 7th day...it is much easier now then before. I have to work harder to get ALL the drinks down...I'm on New Direction Weight Control System packets along with sf Jello, popsicles etc. I'm so worried...I was in a situation where someone brought food for me to eat surprisingly (they, along with most everyone else doesn't know I'm having the surgery). I had a very very small bite of what they brought so it seemed that I ate. I really hope those two - three small bites don't cause my surgery to be postponed....thoughts? Think it will be ok? It was back on day 3 or 4. Other than that I think I'm doing pretty good, getting in lots of water-that seems to be key in loosing the weight...9 lbs down this week!

I'm on day 11 and when I weighed in on Tuesday, I was down 8.4 pounds (actually). I'm on a Protein diet with a shake for Breakfast and lunch, one Protein Bar and one fruit a day, and then a senisble dinner. What I was doing if I got to hungry doing the day, I would alternate my meals and have the shake for dinner instead. Good luck to you on your surgery!!!1

My surgery is December 20th as well! I'm having mine at St. Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL. Excited and scared as hell! I'm down 16.5 pounds as of this morning. Not doing too well with the bariatric drinks - Okay, they SUCK! I hate them! Basically living off Jello, popsicles and broth. Promised my doc I'd try to get in at least two shakes a day.

Well I received a call today from my surgeons office and they have moved my surgery up to Tuesday, December 18! Very stressful because I don't like change on major things! I know it is all part of God's plan though!

@bgeb You have my thoughts and prayers and positive vibes for tomorrow! Everything will go well.

@CG75 It's never fun when they change things, but I'm sure your surgeon wouldn't have done it if he didn't think you were ready and able to handle it. ^_^

Hello all. My date is December 19th, so 5 days to go. Good luck to everyone!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
