Carrie P - woo hoo! Your deductible is fantastic and I'm excited that your insurance is covering it! Hope to have surgery in late February.

Right now' date=' this all-consuming obession with VSG is getting the best of me! I'm making myself crazy with research, planning, and prepping for surgery. And its THREE MONTHS AWAY! I feel like a crazy woman....there are nights I can't fall asleep for thinking about this! Ha ha! Worse than a little kid - he he....

Hugs to you![/quote']

I am totally obsessed to the point of having dreams. I super excited and did I say I am excited. I hope that I am not disappointed because I am hoping that I will be able to exercise and keep a routine to this new lifestyle

YES!!!! Like you, I'm so excited - did I say EXCITED?! - that I can do little else but think about this surgery. Believe my excitement is a huge believe that this surgery will work to help me lose the weight and regain a healthy lifestyle.

Just saying hello to everyone :) I was given a tentative surgery date of February 13th the other day and I'm extremely excited. I'm a married mother of 3 girls 14, 7 and 5. I live in NJ and I'm having my surgery done by Dr Rohit Patel at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. I just finished my first round of pre-op testing. So, I'm about to start round 2 with psych, nutriion and education I'm told. Glad to have found others getting sleeved in Feb as well!

Also crossing my fingers and hoping Amerihealth cooperates

Hello all! I am 38 weigh 387 with a BMI of 51. I have been big all my life. I have played college football and have never been able to lose the weight. I am to the point of frustration. I am also doing this with my wife. She gets sleeved on January 16th. I love this site and the support we give each other. I look forward to getting to know everyone and helping each other be successful.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
