That's the same analogy I used. Sohnds like there is an animal in there growling (more than when our bellies used to growl)

I describe it as 2 cats before they get ready to fight lol

i had my surgery on the 19 of this mth so if im right it was the same day as you.. i had a huge hyatial hernia!! they repaired it as well its still very hard for me to get liquids in but belive it or not i found drinking lemon flavor tea ( crystal lite) it went down way smoother i know that dosnt make alot of sence because you mix it with Water but it did..lol.. also milk ( fat free ) is a little easier as well.. now eating hmm thats a chalange anything i eat hurts its like i can feel it hitting that hernia spot and omg does it hurt but after it slides past that im not feeling any pain in my tummy from the food.. i tried runny mash potatoes yesterday and omg did my tummy love !! i was also out of breath up untill day 5 so just give it a few more days and if it dosnt get better call the doc for advice.. good luck and lets keep in touch

Thanks! I called today to make sure this was normal and she said if the shortness of breath gets bad to go to the er. It's not Terrible i just can feel my heart beating out of my chest lol. She said to try different Protein Shakes but they just make me want to vomit! I puréed some cottage cheese and that will be a little Protein anyways. I think I will try warming some hot water with lemon and maybe that will go down better. Hope your doing better :)

I'm doing ok but today was a bad day! My left side in the back is hurting where my kidney is. Idk if this has anything to do with the surgery or not but my heart is racing today a lot....

I'm getting nervous!! I got admitted into the hospital in Seoul (so already Tuesday the 26th) and having surgery tomorrow afternoon, 27th. Sitting in the hospital waiting for over 24hrs is nerve wracking!!!! The doctors said i could eat and drink but only before midnight. Also found out they don't do leak tests so I'm not sure how i feel about that... I also JUST found out that I'll be giving myself injections. Awesome. ㅠㅠ

Anyway! Good luck everyone!!

Nothing worse then waiting. I rememeber you have to go at this and post op alone :( ask them if they do a leak test during surgery. That is what my surgeon does. After the surgery they perform a leak test before sealing the laparoscopic sites.

I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery. We are all here for you!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
