Feeling/being "full" All The Time

Recommended Posts

So the last couple of days I've noticed that I feel perpetually full. It's different from normal where I just felt like I am not hungry. I've even noticed that after much less food (HA!) than normal, like one ounce as opposed to two, I am having trouble not sliming. It just feels like something is sitting right under the juncture of my ribcage and not passing through and that it's impacting everything. I've had no issues drinking, taking my meds (including acid reducer), or anything else, but it just feels DIFFERENT.

Anyone else experience this?

When you eat too much too fast and the body tells you that you can have it back. It's gross :(

I dunno, in my head it's different than getting sick because it doesn't seem to be accompanied by nausea, really. It's just like my body says "Hey stupid, we can't hold that much down here. Try again later." and up it comes.

Yes...I know what you mean. Had my surgery nov. 6 and I should be up to about 4 oz. no way, more like 2 small bites or back it comes. I always feel full and make myself eat something at mealtime. Drinking is no problem.

Ditto, that is exactly what it feels like. Sometimes the saliva is accompanied by food, but most of the time it is not.

Do you wear an underwire bra?

Yeah, but I've done that since puberty. I was wearing them post-op with no issues at all. It's only been in the last few days that it's felt strange.

For me it's always accompanied by what I've just eaten

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
