Hey Spiedose!

Be careful there, friend! YOu can lose a lot in the first month and have done FABULOUS so far, but be careful while at the gym and don't get carried away! You have to give your body time to completely heal before going all out. Walking and toning-great......we don't want you in the hospital for rupturing anything! Easy does it.....you have the rest of your life to gung ho it. Allow yourself to heal now.

Oh don't worry. I will be extremely careful. I've always hated working out... But I'm gonna have to get used to it And do what's right this time. :)

Hope I make this! My three month f/up appt is in early January and the dr wanted me to drop 30 lbs since I saw him last at my two weeks post op appt. That would be 178 but I will take 180!

Starting weight: 239

Day of Surgery: 224

Current weight: 190

Christmas goal: 180 :P

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
