Admission Fees Do You Pay That Upfront?

So I just received my approval letter from BCBS. It states that I was approved for inpatient procedure and could stay in the hospital for up to 5 days. I called Bcbs to see what my benefits are ( my third time calling) every time I call , I'm told something different. Now I was told about a 5000 Admission fee. What?
