Any Loyola Lap band patients

Recommended Posts

I found out last week that my insurance was approved and I am scheduled to be banded by Dr. Sarker on September 16th and can't wait. I wish that I would have found this thread a few months ago, but am glad that I have now. My story is very similar to the others with the time frame and all of the tests that were required.

Ron,

How have you been since your surgery?

Doing GREAT Sunflowergirl! Thank You for asking. Down 25 lbs so far since surgery and scheduled my 1st fill September 13th. Dr Sarker and her team are fantastic. I spent 1 night in hospital and went home. I started eating solid foods in my 2nd week. I already feel the difference in the way I move and people are noticing the difference in my face. When they ask me I tell them what I did and they say Good for you" Makes me feel really good about this decision. I couldn't be more happy.

Good luck with your surgery and enjoy the new journey. Keep us updated.

Ron

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
