My date is Nov 12th too... My liquid diet is going well- I just want to see the scale go down during my pre op.

I am Soooooo excited to start this journey.

I also have a headache and have even felt a little dizzy- but I am doing an exercise boot camp 45 mins every morning... Might not be able to continue throughout my 14 days because my energy level is getting lowered :( I am only drinking shakes- 800 calories per day... Not much fuel!

I started mine today for surgery Nov 12. I only get 3 Protein shakes and lots of Water. I started walking a little too and lost 2 pounds today and right now it is SO not worth it as I am so hungry. I have found out today though that I'm not missing food or the flavor. I am simply missing the full feeling. Every time I start to get cranky or feel sad' date=' I watch this video on YouTube that says 100 before and after pics and that has been THE BEST help so far!!!! I just keep reminding myself that I am doing this for a reason and it is going to be worth every stomach growl. I am, however, miserable from the headaches. Come on November sleevers!!! We can do this.[/quote']

Great advice thanks friend :)

Yesterday (Halloween) was the worst! I did good on monday and tuesday but totally messed up yesterday. But I forgave myself already and am back on track today. I really do like my total lean shakes by GNC..they are starting to grow on me. The lst time I had the strawberry one, I was so disappointed it didn't taste like strawberry Quik! But I have a sinking feeling none of them do..haha SO I am going to buy a bunch more of those...they are already made which makes it so convenient to grab out of the fridge and drink in the car or whatever. I'm also gonna look for the whey Protein stuff some of you talked about for variety and when I have more time to dork with it at home. I just did all my pre admitting and am meeting the nutritionist later today. I'm getting excited!!!! C'mon November 12th!!

Yesterday I totally fall off the wagon but I'm back on. I'm doing the vanilla shakes. I know the ppl at GNC are sick of me I think I have tried every Protein Powder in that store. With a receipt you can bring the product back even if it was used and I have taken full advantage of that policy

I have been on the liquid diet for one week an have not lost a pound. Do others experience lack of weight loss after one week of the pre-op liquid diet? I had expected to loss at least 1/2 pound.

I was told by my doc that Water holds in the body. Your body could be a stand still have u added working out into ur daily

Update on day 4 of liquid hell :D ! I think I made turn last night after complaining so much on this site about the liquid phase and then getting my head "in the game". I went on a clothing website of all the clothes I want to be able to wear and look good in. That is giving me the incentive to continue. I bookmarked the site. I managed three shakes today and had a cheese stick and Water. I also watched my coworkers devour pizza - which is not so great when you are only drinking these shakes and water. Four days down 10 to go - thanks for all the posts they really help! good luck everyone

I drink a minimum of three Bariatric Advantage shakes a day. I'm allowed up to a maximum of 6 per day. Everything else is broth, Water, etc. I mix the shakes with low-fat soy milk. I also use a banana in the shakes (surgeon says that is okay to do). No solid foods allowed.

Only day 2 of the diet for me and lost 5 pounds. I stayed on track all day and for dinner I couldn't stop my cravings. I broke down and had a few slices of turkey and a pickle. I feel totally worthless right now and that is polar opposite of the satisfied feeling I was looking for. I will have to remember how this feels so I won't splurge again. Never thought some turkey and a pickle would be a splurge, that's for sure!!

I think it is very human to slip up while on a liquid diet. It's hard to be on a liquid diet. I pass by solid food and want to eat it. I fully empathize.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
