  4. I have the same weight on surgery day and the same surgery date. I think my slow weight loss is due to my leak. I was hospitalized for 9 days for the leak.
  5. I bought Flintstones with iron. My doctor said that was fine.
  6. I went to a support group meeting and a person there was supposed to schedule her surgery that week and found out he was no longer doing surgery after working with him for six months. I am also glad I picked Dr. Chastanet. He is probably one of the nicest and caring doctors I have ever met.
  7. I was sleeved by Dr. Chastanet on 11-12-12. He is an awesome doctor!!

  9. Liz I know it's rough..I spent 12 days in the hospital for my leak. I spent Thanksgiving in the hospital on TPN.. it wasn't fun. I felt the same way you do, that the surgery wasn't worth it. Two weeks later my attitude has changed. While I don't regret the surgery anymore I just wish I had a better outcome. If you have any questions feel free to message me.
  10. I am having my first meal as we speak...after 6 weeks (2 preop and 4 postop ) it feels wonderful to eat. I wish you the best of luck!!
  11. Depending on your plan a three or six month supervised diet by your doctor. Nutritional visits, psychology testing. you also have to prove that you have been overweight for at least two years. It took aetna two weeks to approve me.
  12. No just pain and a little light headedness. But I have had ivs of antibiotics since Sunday nonstop so I think I can go home sometime next week

  17. Hi everyone. My name is Bonnie and I am 29. I was sleeved November 12, went home on November 14 and came back on November 18 in severe pain. I am NOT trying to scare any one, but I am a part of the 1% that developed a leak. If you guys have any questions or concerns, just let me know and I will try to help!

  19. Yes I am in the hospital now with a possible leak. My surgery was 11-12, I was released 11-14 back on 11-18 with severe pain. They waited too long to do my ct scan so now I have to wait until tomorrow. But they did remove about 5 cups of nasty stuff yesterday. Sorry if that was tmi!
