I am a.little over 4 weeks out. Whenever I eat, after a few bites, I feel like I've swallowed a lot of air and air bubbles are trying to fight their way up and out while I am swallowing another bite. It really hurts sometimes. Anyone else have this?

I had that, especially at the beginning. I found that after a bite or swallow, if I waited a bit, the mini-burp would occur. That way the gas doesn't build up. Eating slower and more time between bites worked for me.

Yup, all the time. Also tonight I got a dumping incident again when eating some pot roast. Talk about an out of body experience. Who needs drugs when the dumping makes you feel just as spacey. Seriously, dumping was not that much fun. Lots of ranging in the ears, under Water and near fainting experiences. Now I know pot roast is on my banned list along with ham and cheesy sausage patties. All of these have a higher fat content then normal and I guess trusty sleeve has better things to do then digest those. Hope this information helps others.

I'm still on post-op liquids but I get it while trying to get my Water in every now and then. For me a few laps around the living room produces some nice burps! :)

I think I just had first dumping experience, and boy oh boy was it not fun! One teaspoon of buffalo chicken dip snd a tiny sip of apple cider (spiked!). About 30-45 mins. later,I started feeling a slight pain in my stomach and was very gassy (burping). All of a sudden the room was spinning and I felt very hot and like I was going to get sick and/or faint. I laid down immediately and starting stripping my clothes off (was bundled up at an outdoor party)-was so hot. After about 10 mins. the naseau subsided and I dozed off for a few minutes, exhausted! when I woke up, I was freezing and shivering. I finally feel a lot better, 2 hours later, but it was very scary and now my husband is mad because he warned me not to eat the dip and I missed half of the party because I was stubborn and didn't listen! Lesson learned! I won't be doing that again anytime soon! It was pretty bad. 

You don't think it was the cider? I've seen a recipe somewhere for buffalo chicken dip- a Bariatric wks recipe.

It could have been the cider, it had vodka in it, but I had less than a teaspoon! I ate the dip because I rationalized: I'm allowed chicken (and it was shredded), cheddar cheese (but it wasn't low fat). But I'm not allowed Frank's hot sauce, blue cheese dressing or celery! I mashed it up with my fork and it was about a 3/4 tablespoon serving. I probably had a beverage shortly beforehand and afterwards, forgetting about all the rules! (My first social event since sleeve and I was feeling great!) No alcohol means no alcohol! Low or no fat, means low or no fat! When will I learn?

Well described. I am 4 weeks post op and 44 lbs down. That is nice but I struggle with the trapped air. I can only avoid it partally by eating very, very slowly. And stop eating at the first sign of being full (3-4 spoons). If the pain from the air inside is bad then I rather throe up to get it over with!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
