I am 25 days post op and haven't lost a pound in 12 days. I need suggestions on how to break a stall. I do remember reading a website that provided a 4 day guide to breaking a weight loss stall, but I can't find it anymore. Thanks for your help!

FYI - I get 700-900 calories each day, 50-70 grams of Protein, low carbs, I walk 3 miles 5 days a week and I'm stuck at 299 (315 on SD)

I was told two things: 1st your body goes into a stravation mode at about 3 weeks when it realizes that it's not getting as much calories as it is used to. 2nd that males need to try to achieve 80-100 grams of Protein and 64 oz of liquid per day especially early on. Watch what type of carbs you are having, soft carbs such as mashed potatoes and soft Pasta of not good especially as early as you are out. My NUT told me you will experience stalls and just to keep the protein, fluids and exercise up and you will break thru. If it continues I would call and ask some questions. Good Luck

Repeat after me: "this stall will pass". Keep repeating it. Seriously, all stalls will break on their own. You will wake up morning and say "holy crap...I lost 3 lbs last night". And then the cycle continues over and over again. Better get used to it.

Yup, what Fiddlerman said. My 6.5 week stall just broke. I was stuck at 205-210 for 6.5 weeks then BAM!!!! I went from 207 to 198 in just a few days. Just keep the faith and keep following the program, it will end when it is ready.

I was so worried when I stopped losing weight after week 1. i stalled for almost 3 weeks :/ I tried everything humanly possible to break the stall and I dont believe it can be broke until your body decides to adjust. it just broke the lest few days and with in that short period of time i dropped 7 lbs. YAY, hang in there. It WILL happen for you!

I second SkinnieMinnie. You need to make sure you are drinking your Water. Try upping your water for a bit and see if that helps.

I normally get 36-48 oz of water and two 11oz shakes for a total of 58-70 oz of liquid per day.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
