I am here with you!!! I am SO NOT perfect! I am on a 30 day pre op diet!!! IT SUCKS! I am frustrated.

It seems that I slip up easily!! The other day was the biggest..... I had a torilla' date=' it was small 5 inches. BLAH!!! Today I had a bite of Pirate Booty, that my daughter was having and coffee!!! What gives? Isn't this like asking a cocaine addict not to use, when its sitting in the cabinet? Hard to give up food when its in the kitchen!!! Right?[/quote']

I took all of my 'temptation foods' out of my house, literally and boxed them up and put them in the garage or gave them away. It's helped quite a bit. We aren't perfect, just take it one meal at a time and drink lots of fluids (my choice is to always add crystal light) stay strong! We can do this!!!

I had a few slip ups and a few guilty pleasures (a tiny strip of pepperoni French bread pizza). I still managed to lose 45 pounds and surgery went off without a hitch! Don't get down on yourself. Each day is a new start! You can do this!

Yesterday I got in about 70 oz of Water and Tylenol or ibuprofen...I feel a little better today...well hopefully the headaches are less today. I talked to my NUT and she said try an small apple or a fat free low carb yogurt in the evening to help. I didn't do that but the Tylenol helped.

Had my preop visit w surgeon yesterday and he said all is on track and good to go, 2 wk countdown begins!!! :-)

Okay' date=' so I am on day 11 of my 28 day pre op diet and (pardon my swearing) the **** is hitting the fan! Yes, I really want this, yes I know the deal with the liver, but no, I have not been perfect. I emailed one of the medical assistants at my surgeon's office who had the sleeve within the last year and all she could say was to get back on track. No admitting she herself struggled or cheated a little. I need someone who gets it! I am HURTING. I literally start hurting in my stomach and shaking. At that point, I have to grab a spoonful of Peanut Butter to calm my system down. I have 3 small children and I am home alone with them during the day. I simply can't afford to pass out! I really feel like I will. The medical community just says to stick to it but what about when this happens? Someone help please. I have lost 22 pounds already but I need to get to 35. I don't want to mess this up but I don't want to pass out either. This is sucking so bad. I just don't have anywhere to t.u rn and I'm frustrated!![/quote']n

I am to start my 14 day preop diet on Monday the 19th. I am sooo scared! I've tried a trial run and was miserable. I relieved to see that I'm not alone. I will be on day 4 on Thanksgiving : /!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
