SO..... I CALLED MY SURGEONS OFFICE ON YESTERDAY AND THE INS. LADY SAID SHE COULDN'T GET AN AUTHZATION CODE BECAUSE MY PRIMARY INS. DO NOT COVER WLS, BUT MY SECONDARY INS. DOSE AND SHE WAS WILLING TO GO ON AN SET UP A DATE FOR MY SURGERY BUT SHE WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO HER OFFICE MANAGER TO MAKE SURE IT WAS OK SINCE I HAVE TYPE II DM, sleep APNEA + THE 43 BMI. I SHOULD BE APPROVED! SO SHE CALLED ME BACK TODAY TO SET UP AN APPT. FOR ME TO COME IN AND HAVE MY PRE-OP LABS DONE FOR NEXT FRIDAY.

WHEN I GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH HER I CALLED MY OFFICE MANAGER TO LET HER KNOW THAT I WAS GOING TO BE HAVING SURGERY ON NOV. 6 AND I WOULD NEED (WANT) 3 WEEKS OFF.

AND SHE IS ACTING LIKE I AM ASKING HER FOR PERMISSION TO HAVE THIS SURGERY DONE AND WAS LIKE SINCE THIS IS AN ELECTIVE SURGERY I FEEL LIKE YOU CAN WAIT UNTIL THE 1ST OF THE YEAR TO HAVE IT DONE, SO IT WON'T RUN INTO THANKSGIVING OR X-MAS?!?!?!?

ARE YOU SERIOUS????

I MEAN REALLY?

I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO GIVE ME THE TIME..... I HAVE 170 HOURS OF SICK / VAC TIME THAT I CAN USE.

SO THEN SHE SAYS SHE WILL HAVE TO TALK TO THE GIRL THAT IS OVER MY DEPARTMENT (SHE SAID OK)

SO NOW SHE IS SAYING SHE IS GOING TO HAVE TO TALK TO HER BOSS (WHICH SHE IS NOT>>>>>> SHE IS JUST SAYING THIS SO I WILL BE LIKE THAT'S OK I WILL JUST WAIT)

NO!!!!

I AM NOT WAITING...... I HAVE THE TIME AND WE ARE FULLY STAFFED AT THIS TIME SOOOOOOO I DON'T SEE WHY I NEED TO OR SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT.

SORRY! I JUST NEEDED TO VENT!!!!! UGH

First off let your manger know that this procedure isn't an "elective" surgery and that there are HiPPA laws statin that she can't share your procedure with any one. What you can do is go to HR and file for a Federal leave of absence where they are required to hold your spot while your out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
