I just thought I would pop on here and give you guys an update. I know that a lot of people stop posting once they reach goal or get about a year out' date=' etc. but newbies and others what to know how it is to be sleeved this far out and what is going on at that point, so I thought I would continue to post monthly at least. I started out at 234 in August of 2011. Its been 14 months today and I am under my goal by 2 pounds. I have lost 101 pounds so far. I had been maintaining for five weeks but dropped another two pounds this weekend. I am going to have plastic surgery in 6 short weeks- so excited. I am having my arms done, my thighs done and a lower body lift that includes a Tummy Tuck. I have some lose skin issues and I want my body to be as good as it can be for 44 years old! I have worked hard to achieve this and it saddens me that I have lose skin. Admittedly, I didn't exercise as much as I could have and I am not sure how much good it would have done anyway.

I am very happy with my results and I hope to maintain this loss for the rest of my life. I can eat more now, that is for sure, but not a whole lot more. I was eating about 6 to 8 bites of things for most of the year, at a meal but now I am up to about 12 bites. Translation....about a half cup during the year and now about a cup at a meal. If its meat, not even that much. I still dont eat rice, Pasta, bread. Its too hard on my sleeve. I do eat potatoes occasionally but only a few small bites. I mostly eat meat and cheese, a bite or two of veggies. I eat whole wheat crackers with my cheese but only two of them. I also eat Peanut Butter on mini vanilla wafers for snack. I cant hold many so that is good. Potato chips are sliders for me so I only eat them occasionally. I am pretty set in my routine and I love it! I eat what I like and it works for me. Good luck everyone with their own personal journeys! Please feel free to message me or respond to this thread if you have questions or you think I might be able to help you in any way. I want to be present for those behind me, just as the veterans helped me with my journey. I am including a new comparison pic in this post.[/quote']

You look fabulous and beautiful.

So great and inspirational to hear success stories and see pics like yours! It's crazy how much younger you look 14 months later. Quite a transformation! I'm very interested in your plastic journey. I'm a ways off from goal but am starting to think about all this loose skin. I'd love to know how your surgery goes and if you're pleased with the results. Congrats!

You look amazing! And I thank you so much for posting after being 14 months out from surgery because I do have questions for people who are a year or more out from surgery and can't find much past 6 months.

You look so awesome! I'm almost 5 months out on Monday and I find myself fretting because I haven't lost as much weight as some people that were sleeved the same month as I was. I'm very happy with my loss but reading your post gives me hope that I too will reach my goal. Again, you look amazing!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
