I'm Nov 5th North Carolina. I can't believe I'm finally saying my date. For months I've been reading about people telling us their surgery dates and it's our turn now. We are going to have to support each other as we struggle through Thanksgiving.

I'm November 20 in Indianapolis and very excited. I could have had it earlier but asked to have then because of my work schedule. Not sure how long my pre-op diet is. I was told someone would call me 30 days prior to my surgery date to set up all pre-op tests and such. I started this back in April and can't believe it's so close :-)

I just got my approval letter today! I'm hoping for November 14 or 15, need to set the date with the surgeon now that I'm approved. I'm near Omaha NE. Will be having surgery at The Nebraska Medical Center. I'm very nervous but very excited. I'm a type 2 diabetic with poor control :(

I am having my surgery November 9th in Jacksonville, Florida. I start my pre op diet in a couple weeks. I think I am more nervous about making it through those weeks than the actual surgery! LOL

Yeah' date=' glad to hear from you all! My surgery is on November 9th. I bought two containers of injury Protein powder and will be ordering some more here pretty quick ... I think I'll be shopping this weekend for some comfy night clothes. I plan on packing my suitcase as soon as I start the liquid diet. For now I'm reading all the posts do ill be able to ask lots of questions on my next appointment on the 17 of next month. Yeah, next month is but a few days away! Excited and super scared[/quote']

My surgery date is scheduled for November 9th as well in NJ. My surgeon doesn't require a liquid diet prior to surgery however I think I'm going to do one anyway before I eat myself out of jeans due nervousness and anxiety with this surgery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
