Hunger Hasn't Gone Away...why?

HUH?

Do you have any idea of how stereotypes are formed? What' date=' then, is the basis of the stereotypes about men were you referring to?

And what stereotype did I lump YOU into? The one who has stereotypes about men? Well, uh ... I think you put yourself in that one from your first and second post ... Right?[/quote']

I sayed men don't like following instructions (example... my husband will try to put something together by himself first, when he gets stuck THEN he gets out the instructions) This doesn't make him an idiot nor worth getting rid of. Stubborn maybe but laughable. You lumped me into a group that you say refers to men as bumbling idiots in the matter of childcare, house work, and other such things. You are the one who brought all this up as if you had already been mad about it from somewhere else. If I had said "well that's the problem, he's a man and is too stupid to know better" I would stone myself with you. But I meant no such thing. But I think none of this helps the OP so start a post about the "man basher" and have at it. All I have tried to say is that I never said or inferred that men were idiots. And if anyone took it that way I'm sorry.

There is a lot to read on here so I admit I did not read every post in this thread, But I am wondering if anyone has mentioned that it takes a couple of months for all the grehlin to get out of the system, And the first couple of months can still bring some intense hunger pangs. It does go away though.

Also, nobody noticed I had lost any weight until I hit about 90 pounds then everyone noticed. All of what you have described he is going through is normal.

Cheryl~ I am not a Dr. but do ask lots of questions. Here is what I was told... We need to keep a high Protein, low carb & sugar diet. When you eat carbs, they send a signal to the brain telling you that your body needs more carbs (hence making you hungry all the time). Tell your husband to increase the protein & Water, cut back on the carbs & sugars, increase the excersize. Head hunger is HORRIBLE!!!! Also, tell him, when is craving something, don't deny himself but cut back the portion size. I will keep him in my thoughts & prayers. Hide the scale, it's EVIL!!! (LOL)

I can really see the changes in his body but he doesn't believe me.

When I first had surgery, I had my husband take photos of me every two weeks from the front, side and back. I only wore panties and a bra for the pictures, so I could really see the progress. If you haven't taken photos yet, start doing this. These aren't photos I'd share with anyone, but I needed them.

I also took measurements. I measured at 13 different points on my body and kept track. I did this every two weeks too, and I was amazed at the inches I lost.

These two things will frequently show a loss when the scale doesn't.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
