Hey everyone,

I do not post as often as some of you, but I do read all comments. Glad to see most of us are doing well. Seems like we all have are ups and downs and that's normal. I met with a trainer yesterday and I am excited to start this next part of my journey.

Kparker, I was in a stall for 1 month. 11/13 was two months since my surgery and since then the weight has been falling off, 1 or 2 pounds a day!!! Hang in there and give your body time to adjust, you are doing great!

Hello everyone, glad to read you are all doing good on your weight loss. I haven't wrote anything since I've been so aggravated lately. My apartment has had two floods in the last month and now I am going to move, it's hard for me to stay focused on what I'm eating and Water with all that's going on. I hope you all have a great day and enjoy Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Oh I'm nit doing well. I've had a " stomach flu" since Sunday. I haven't been been able to keep anything down that includes Water. I saw the dr. On Monday as I was scared to get dehydrated. Since I saw a different dr. Because mine was out of the office. Well that dr. Insisted I had rice and white toast. Umm I kept telling her I could do either since I'm 2 months out of being sleeved. To make a long story short I left with nothing that benefited me. Only thing was I should go to e.r. if I couldn't keep anything down. Then she tells me that I don't look dehydrated to go home and drink. HELLO.. that's why I was there in the first place..

I emailed my dr. The next day and she prescribed zofran which did wonders. I took one yesterday and I was able to eat crackers and a Powerade zero.

Hope you all are doing well.

I'm 2 months and 10 days post surgery and I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the following:

It seems like now I can eat waaaay less than I could a month ago. I mean a couple bites and I'm done. But it's not everything. Like I can eat a 5oz greek yogurt, well not fast, takes me a while but I can eat it. But as for what I would call "regular" food, not even that much is possible. I feel like I could eat so much more a month ago and now I'm back to not being able to eat much at all.

Suggestions?

Momofthings - It's weird, there are days when I feel like I never really get full and days when a few bites of "solid" food fills me up. I have yogurt every morning for Breakfast (5.3 oz container usually, sometimes a 6 oz) and feel comfortable after that. Yesterday I was way out of my routine - went to visit some friends after work so didn't have dinner when I normally would have - when I got home I was pretty hungry - and way behind on my Protein. Had a couple of large shrimp, a Protein Bar and later a yogurt. Got my Protein in but was STUFFED! That was way too much food eaten in too short a time.......

I'm one of the "lucky" ones (being very sarcastic!!!) who does feel stomach hunger still (doc said that may change - or it may not - BUMMER if it doesn't!!!).

Wondering - is anyone else concerned about our overall nutrition? I'm getting at least 60 grams of Protein per day but not eating alot of veggies and almost no fruit or whole grains.

I take a Multi-Vitamin, Calcium, Vitamin D, B12, Omega 3, and Biotin daily - but I've always thought that getting most of my nutrition from food was much better than getting it from supplements.< /p>

I'd be interested in your thoughts my Sleeve Sisters (are there any men in our little band of merry losers???).

I don't get much fruit either. Obviously not much of anything recently. I do like to put pineapple on cottage cheese. I did eat a dried prune today. Weird. I did have a turkey and cheese sandwich on 1 slice of toasted 100% whole wheat bread the other day. Veggies?? Not much. I am planning on a few bites of green bean casserole tomorrow...does that count? Oh and sweet potato, well a couple bites of that too. Those are veggies. But in general, not as much as I'd like.

MOM- Me too. I have the same problem. I ams still learning I do not need more than 2 bites.

NEWGMA- I love Trader Joes. You can get some really healthy ideas from TJ. I too and very excited for turkey day!

GETTING THERE- I am ALWAYS hungry seriously. Even when I am full, if that makes sense.

MDM- I hate moving it is so stressful. I hope your things did not get ruined. Did the apartments reimburse for damages??

SCARED- I am so sorry you are not feeling good. Especially the stomach flu with this sleeve must feel so gross. I pray you feel better so you can have something tomorrow! ((hugs))

SMELLBUG- YAY for you, a personal trainer is awesome, and a great way to go. He/She will hold you accountable, and for me I need that. You look like you are doing great, keep up the good work.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
