First Full Day Of Work Today

I'm a teacher, and returned to work Tuesday which was a half day and yesterday was a half day. Today was the first day full day. I felt that I had a difficult time today. I did pack my food for the day but when I sat down to eat , I couldn't eat much and felt sick. As I was circulating , I thought I would pass out. So I would sit. I even went to my go to drink- Gatorade, and that made me feel worse. I could hardly drink or eat today and exhausted.

I'm only a month out from surgery. Hope it gets better from here...

I do not know if this will help you or not. But I am 3.5 weeks out. I used to love Gatorade and Powerade, but now I have not found a single flavor I can tolerate. They nauseate me now like they are too sweet.

So I don't know what to say about the eating, but maybe try another drink. Good luck!!

Did you walk any after surgery?

Elisa,

I'm also a teacher and have 4 classes back to back before my lunch break. I bring mozzarella (part skim) cheese sticks' yogurt, crackers and Water to work. I nibble on a bracket or some cheese when I can. Today I had no Snacks until I had my lunch. The nice thing is I'm not hungry but did. It ice I was a little weak. I also didn't eat as much of my lunch as well. I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow. I was sleeved8/14 so I'm a little over 3 weeks. Hang in there and keep trying til you find something that works for you.

I am also a teacher/coach and was sleeved 8/7. I teach PE so I'm always on the go! I have found cheese sticks and protein shakes from Costco ( premier) to help! The shakes have 30 grams of protein in them. Then I eat tuna at lunch! Make sure you are getting all your protein in. It seems to help. I was back to work 6 days after my surgery!
